Unfortunately the seas were rough and visibility was not great. We went to isla los lobos just off the coast of Santa Cruz. We took the zodiac to the island just before sunrise. The light was amazing. <br /><br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/seymoursealion.jpg" alt="seymoursealion" /><br /><br />There were many <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_footed_boobie">Blue Footed Boobies </a>nesting on this island. Our guide was telling us that they usally have 2 eggs that hatch. One of the offspring will become dominant and push the other out of the nest where he/she will starve and die off. We took the zodiak into town where we walked to the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Darwin_Research_Station">Charles Darwin Research Station </a>. This is where the famous Pinta Island Tortoise <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonesome_George">Lonesome George </a> is located. He is the last one of his kind. Just a week before news broke that he did get some lucky tortoise pregnant so he may not be the last for long.<br /><br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/tortoisehead.jpg" alt="lonesome george tortoise" /><br /><br />We then motored over to Islas Plaza. This was probably our favorite island. The landscape here was so unique. The island was filled with large Land Iguanas, Sea Lions and Marine Iguanas as well as hundreds of birds.<br /><br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/islasplazaevasive.jpg" alt="islas plaza evasive rash guard" /><br /><br />Ale is wearing the revised style of Evasive. Our first stop after breakfast was Punta Cormorant. This was a beautiful island. As soon as we arrived on the beach we were surrounded by marine iguanas. <img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/puntacormiguana.jpg" alt="Punta Cormorant galapagos" /> <br />I was wearing the new <a href="http://www.exceedwetsuits.com/catalog.php?cat=mr">Eternity rash guard</a> as the sun was very strong<br /><br />Along the trail we had our first sight of the famous <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_footed_boobie">Blue Footed Boobie</a>. This bird was so cute. You could walk right up to them and they would not move. <br /><br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/puntacorm.jpg" alt="Punta Cormorant Galapagos" /><br /><br />Ale wore the revised style <a href="http://www.exceedwetsuits.com/catalog.php?cat=mr">Eminence Rash Guard</a>.<br /><br />After lunch we jumped back on the zodiac and headed into Post Office Bay. Before we arrived on shore we were greeted by this little guy:<br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/postoffpenguin.jpg" alt="penguin post office bay galapagos" /><br /> <br />There is a very small group of penguins on this island so we were very lucky to see him.<br /><br />Once on the beach you walk up a small path and this comes into view:<br /><br /><img src="http://exceedwetsuits.com/images/blog/postoffice.jpg" alt="post office bay galapagos" /><br /><br />This is the famous post office box that has been in use since the early 18th century. As you leave a letter or postcard in the barrel you then should take one out of the barrel which has an address close to your home so you can either hand deliver or mail it.
