If you insist then just follow these simple steps: Set machine on cold water and delicate setting. Use a delicate detergent such as Woolite or use a mild dish soap. Most importantly: Air dry only! Do not put in the dryer!
Rinse out with fresh water and dry in the shade. Do not leave in the sun as the UV rays will destroy the rubber. Make sure the wetsuit is completely dry before you put it in your car, closet, garage, etc. Make sure you store your wetsuit on a plastic hanger.
Those numbers represent the thickness of the wetsuit in millimeters. The first number means that the core of the body is protected by 3mm thick neoprene and the extremities (arms and legs) are protected by 2mm neoprene.
This is a tough one because when it is really cold a quick shot of warmth feels great! We all do it so just be sure to rinse it out well with dish soap as it will stink pretty bad if you do not. Pee contains Ammonia so it is not good for the wetsuit.
This is personal preference. Some people wear shorts. At EXCEED we wear just our underwear.
All of EXCEED full suits have GBS seams. A GBS seam is glued and stitched. This type of seam lets very little water into the suit. All of the EXCEED shorty suits use Flatlock stitches. These stitches allow a bit more water inside the suit.
Wetsuits work by trapping a small layer of water between the neoprene and your skin. This layer of water is warmed by your own body which helps keep you warm.
Everyone that goes outside should wear a rash guard. EXCEED rash guards are UV coated to 60. Unlike lotion you do not need to reapply throughout the day. The protection does not stop in the water but will keep going all day.
We love to see customers wearing EXCEED so please send us pictures and we will post them in the gallery.
You can email your resume and pictures and we will try our best to help you out.
EXCEED was born from the necessity of a fashion wetsuit. Having to wear a dull and drab wetsuit inspired EXCEED to develop something different for water sports enthusiasts.
You sure can! Just send us a picture of you wearing EXCEED or your best water sport story.
